You said you go 60 in another thread. y u so slow now?
60 was my top speed last season and I did it at Whiteface, a ski resort at Lake Placid, NY where they held the Olympics. My local hill doesn't have anything as steep and most importantly long enough for me to reach that speed. My top speed at my local place is 52 mph from last year. Snow/resort conditions thus far haven't allowed me to get to 50 this season.

They were blowing snow all weekend and the snow was particularly slow. 36 was as fast as I could get.

1) Painkillers and I aren't friends. They just put me to sleep.

2) Not much drinking while skiing, but a beer at lunch and a beer near the end of the day are my friends.
I wasn't suggesting that you do that stuff. I'm pretty sure that's what Sunny Bono was up to when he skied into a tree. People always use his fate as the example for why you should wear a helmet whilst skiing.

Oh yeah.... Ordered $125 worth of beer on Sunday. I'll just add that to my stash of beer in the closet that she knows about. There's too much there for her to notice a dozen extra bottles

place we went to for our date yesterday had a damn good IPA. I should have gotten a Crowler to go.

How do you track your speed? I'd love to track my kids' speed.
Do they have iPhones?

I love that fucking app. It's free, but for $25/yr, you get a Premium Plan that adds some extra stuff.

I dig it because it tracks your number of runs, where you skied, vertical feet, speed, distance, time, etc, and it keeps it all in your logbook, so you can review what you've done. You can link to friends and it keeps track of when/where you skied with them, and it keeps standings like top speed, most runs, most runs in a day. I'm a big fan.

I forgot to turn it on on the first day I skied, so I'm missing one day, but that day notwithstanding, I've skied 10 days, 168 runs, for 31.8k vertical feet.

This season I'm going to show up on a weekday right when they open and try to track 100 runs in a day. I timed the chairlift that I'd use, and provided there are no stoppages, in order to do 100 runs, I'll be on that lift for 4.5 hours.

Oh, I refuse to believe that someone who eats the exact same thing for lunch every day has figured out the exact length of time that they'll be on chair lifts at a ski resort.

I don't have speakers on my desktop at the office, so I can't listen.

Coincidentally though, that was the first song that I ever recorded in a professional studio. I was probably 16 or 17 and recorded it for my girlfriend. Two guitar parts, bass and vocals. Damn. That was a long time ago.
