Country singer loses everything after dropping N word

they are all interchangeable if you ask me....and barely any of them write their own songs, just sing whatever the record company tells them to sing.

I am convinced that Yeti and Fireball whiskey used the country music scene as an advertising opportunity.

Actually it is the opposite. Most of these singers once they get a hit song or two, people will keep buying their music no matter how bad it is.

We can't wish away reality, and when it's dropped, and heard by Millions daily it becomes part of our collective cultural.

These type of social behaviors are woven into the fabrics of our society. So with that in mind, do you really think he and everyone who has dropped the N-word is a racist?

Personally, I try not to use profanity unless I really want to make a point, and never use the N-word, but I don't agree with you that he is racist based soley on dropping the N-word, and neither is everyone else who has used or uses the N-word, just as much as I don't think everyone who uses or has used GD is anti-religion or hates GOD.

This line of thinking itself is inherently racist because it's discriminates against a person based on their particular racial group.

Now there is an argument I've heard, that to me is disturbing, on the 'why..'

It's basically stated 'Because it restrains White Americans, and offers a taste of what it's like to not be entitled to do anything they please, anywhere.'

To me, this type of thinking is extremely divisive, and a greater concern than one dropping the N-word, in the manner it was dropped by this Country singer, or for that much anyone in 2021.

Intent of usage matters, if it's used as a slur, than by all means cancel the guy, but we all heard it too often to not know the difference and to cancel him solely because he was not of a certain race, when he clearly was not using the word as a slur, is just wrong.

Words matter, and you labeled him a racist solely by using a word our culture has accepted to hear by the Millions daily, like it or not.

FTR - Racism has no defense.

And allowing some people of a specific race to do certain things and not others based solely on their race is Racist, so who is defending Racism?
 
My first take was what an asshole. Then I read the context and this isn't a Michael Richardson situation where the word was used in malice. This was used in the context of rap which I agree is a bit different.

But I was thinking this was the same guy who was an idiot before the SNL appearance, then I read other things about this clown and I have zero sympathy. White guys can't use this word, this should be understood but obviously here someone is struggling with this.

What is the context? The bit of the story i read mentioned people complaining that he quoted rap lyrics with the word when he was 18 but I never saw what he said this time.

I'm pretty sure this guy is significantly more famous now than he used to be.
 
people who use the n word are morons, but the difference in the backlash between people using the n word and people who use anti-semitic tropes is quite notable.

Ice Cube is going to be meeting with the POTUS + Stephen Jackson still has his podcast on Showtime.
