Any of you fhegs ever had absinthe? I think imma see if my liquor store can order some.

A couple times but not in quite awhile. It does have a licorice taste too it but not as strong as something like Jagermeister imo. It's sorta herby with some licorice mixed in. It's sorta hard to describe but most people just say licorice since that's about the only flavor most can identify. Put a couple of drops of cold water in it though. That's the "proper" way to drink it. Plus, it makes a really cool clouding effect.

Would be nice to have "I love you man" rating @HammerDown

Yea I read up on it. The abolishment of it was actually pushed financially by wine companies wanting to eliminate competition.

It was expensive (for me) $54 Canadian dollars for a 5th which was $40 USD in 2004.

Fennel can be nice as an accent, but generally speaking, the flavor is like one of two things I don't like to eat.

The other is penis, presumably.
Absinthe makes the heart grow fonder.

Aren't you supposed to pour it over a sugar cube or something?

I think i'm going to check with the local liquor store soon and see if they can order some. Alabama has these fucked up liquor laws that keeps you from ordering alcohol online and everything has to be funneled through the Alabama Beverage Control board so if they can't get it then i'm fucked.

Yea, you pour a few ounces of it into a cup....get a perforated spoon with a sugar cube on top and put it on top of the glass....then pour cold water slowly over the sugar and into the drink.

Beautiful morning here, -28 feels like -47
When my friends in NYC and Toronto start telling me their temps and it's negative, I don't even bother asking if that's F or C. I just have no comprehension of temperatures lower than 72.

Oh wait, back in 2009 I was in Palm Springs and it got down to less than 60 degrees at night.

It was hell.
