Sort of an advocacy group for our industry that serves as a go-between among us and the state agencies that fund our work. That's why there are so many people on the call. Most of us sit there and listen for something of value that we can take back to our own organizations but usually it's just a bunch of complaining that never really solves anything.

I usually leave mine off for these larger gatherings, yes. When it's my own group I always have it on because I don't want anybody else thinking they can leave theirs off and not really participate. But then there's always that one team member who wants to show off their stupid dogs and sidetracks everything.

It was funny when we first went remote, there were a lot fewer meetings than we used to have. Then that number ramped up when people realized how easy it is to have a remote meeting, then it went down again after people started getting zoom fatigue.
