Tournament Thread - B1G Tournament

Man I hope Illinois and Iowa win . Would be the best semis in tourney history. Honestly maybe in any conference tourney history

4 teams all destined to be 1 and 2 seeds in the Tourney. Has that ever happened before?

Duke vs. Ga Tech ended up being #2 vs. #3 in 2004. It wasn't at the time though.

I'm not sure but the Big East did have 3 #1 seeds in 2009. They also had two #3 seeds that year.

Looked that year up. Both Pitt and Uconn lost before the semis. The latter being a 6OT thriller for Syracuse which I remember watching

Big East was a monster league in the 2000s

2009 BE was the most stacked year a conference has ever had in a regular season.

2011 it got 11/16 teams in. But 2009 was on another level that regular season.

2004 ACC had 2 FF teams and 80% of the conference was rated in the top 26 on kenpom.

I doubt we'll ever see a conference do that well from top to bottom on advanced metrics ever again.

Regardless the BIG has come a long way since they hit a rough patch a while back

That was a good year as well, but I said regular season. If Dominic James doesnt break his foot the BE is looking at like 6 of the top 15 teams and potentially half of the top 8. They still ended up with 7 of the top 19 kenpom wise.

And I could say the same about a conference ever getting 3 1 seeds again(Big10 getting 2 this year alone was impressive). 7 of 9 teams in the top 26 is impressive but you can also argue that only 4/9 teams even finished .500 in league play.

Its a tough comp when 1 league has 9 teams beating the shit out of each other. And another has 16 teams with 4 punching bags but then 4 really solid teams and 8 more very good-elite ones.

No mention of Juwan Howard losing it and getting ejected?

Rutgers aware theres a game going on???

His excuse was so terrible too lol

"He looked like he charged me, and the way I was raised by Chicago you defend yourself when someone comes at you"

Dude completely lost his head
