I'm not sure but the Big East did have 3 #1 seeds in 2009. They also had two #3 seeds that year.
Looked that year up. Both Pitt and Uconn lost before the semis. The latter being a 6OT thriller for Syracuse which I remember watching

2004 ACC had 2 FF teams and 80% of the conference was rated in the top 26 on kenpom.2009 BE was the most stacked year a conference has ever had in a regular season.
2011 it got 11/16 teams in. But 2009 was on another level that regular season.
They were a dominant in a world where they had 16 teams, while everyone else had 10-12Big East was a monster league in the 2000s
