Mid-May Monday Thread

Took today off for another interview. Went well, but I'm hoping to get the offer from my in person interview on Saturday. Believe they had to have there HR run background and credit checks this week and then will. All I know is that I'm ready to put my 2 weeks in at the current gig ASAP.

I need to finish up my green belt certification, then I'll start casually looking again. There are 2 main reasons I'm still in this job.
1) I'm comfortable, can leave work at work, and make enough
2) I've got a pension

Reading the tea leaves, that pension won't be growing all that much in the future.

walked 18 holes for $18 yesterday at 3:30. Played the front 9 twice since there was a foursome teeing off on 10 after we got done 9 and didn't want to wait for them.

the cupholder for my clicgear cart sucks ass. It absolutely crushes any beer cans you put in it. I feel like I need to armor my can with a Yeti coozie.

Leave work at work is a big reason to leave. I'm done being asked to cater to assholes in other parts of the country that make millions instead of spending time with my kids.

I need new hobby

I still play words with friends, mainly with mom (makes her feel connected in a way) and I also entertain myself by communicating with scammers, I haven't gone so far to make a dummy account on hangouts, but I do keep responding until they give up and block me


They usually get pretty exasperated, just add me on (usually google hangouts) ok?

it's actually not mine

My dad got it as a gift and he can't use it at his condo since it's charcoal (well, he could, but he'd have to hang out in the yard with no patio furniture) but wanted a picture of it "in use" so heated up some brats on it.

Next time I go to my dad's, I'm bringing it to him where it'll sit on his deck or in his outdoor storage I guess

I didn't work very well on the brats, I gave up half way and moved them to grill I was cooking flank steak on. I don't think it's very practical
 
I am going to use my actual bike tonight and finally go on ride. Will need to give it a once over first, inflate tires, grease up chain.....
