I worked at a gas station in high school. Bosses nephew pulled in and got gas. His dad had bought him a 454 Monte Carlo. About 4 miles away at high speed he didn't make a curve and hit a dump truck head on.

I saw the ambulances rush by. Someone who drove by it came in and told me what happened. My boss came in then and I told him. "No you're a liar, why do you make up shit like that!!!" I thought he was going to try and whip my ass.

Not that there is a good way to find out your nephew died (been there sadly) but hearing it from your employee is prob a tad unexpected
