Greatest sports moments you've seen live.

Individual greatness, I was in the stands when Josh Beckett no-hit the Phillies. Saw Alex Ochoa hit for the cycle once.

Saw a few milestones, like Placido Polanco's 2000th hit, and Bonds' 713th HR.

Was also in attendance for the JD Drew Battery Game.

I was at both the bronze and gold medal hockey games at the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake. Here's a couple of shots over Khabibulin's shoulder in the bronze game (gold medal seat was higher up and near the top of the circle).belrussia2 (1).JPGbelrussia1.JPG

Uhh, not really.
Then I have to go with Miracle on Ice.

The KVE title win was a fucking huge thing here when it happened, considering the David von Erich death and emotional impact.

Of course, in hindsight, when you know the whole story.....

Just sad all the way around.

Jazz beat the Bulls in triple OT. Jordan got ejected on a ticky tack call at the end that pretty much gave the Jazz the win.

saw the bucs close out the vet (for the eagles at least) with a win over the eagles in the NFCCG.

individual performance, i swear it was Scherzer vs. Cole, but in trying to find the game, I guess it was against Liriano, but Scherzer threw a no-hitter. wasn't perfect because of a HBP, but man, you can tell some pitchers are just on another level.

Oh Christ….you were there to see that shit show?

Was sitting next to micro at Ford Field for this great moment in how not to taunt your opponent.

Tulloch went Discount Double Check, and blew out his knee.

Does seeing Kerry von Erich pin Ric Flair to win the NWA Title count?

IMO, this qualifies.

This reminded me of the greatest thing I ever witnessed in connection with a sporting event but was not sports related. It happened right here in Vegas after a UNLV football game. @Handicappers and I were walking thru the parking lot high fiving all the UNLV fans about the big win when a bunch of fans from the other team came up to us and told us to shut up. Handi and I started mouthing off to these guys but then this really big guy stepped right up in our face. He was very pissed off and clearly was gonna hit us. However, before either of us could say anything, @Peter Gozintite (who had been walking a little behind us) came up to this big guy and without saying a word picked him up and slammed on the ground. This guy landed on his back and was just convulsing. Everyone stood there in shock and Peter just said “nobody fucks with The Crew”. He then looked at Handi and I and said “let’s go”. We just walked away like nothing happened and nobody said a word to us.

I’ve always wondered what happened to that guy? 🤔

I was just outside leftfield wall ready to celebrate a Cubs trip to their first WS in many many years as the Bartman fiasco was going on....

Seen Michael Jordan twice in the 1997 playoffs.....

I was at Soldier Field in 1986 and seen Charles Martin slam McMahon to the turf seperating his shoulder...rest is history....:mad2:

And seen Walter Paytons last game in Chicago.....

Nothing real spectacular, but non- the-less a few memorable moments....

yep, shelled out $300 bucks as a poor college student for the bus trip + ticket up. The case of beer I bought ahead of time I hid in my trunk was frozen as well (was underage at the time). still can't get Joe Jurevicius going over the middle past levon fucking kirklands fatass for an easy TD.

the worst part was they left that bit of hope at the end, like maybe they can pull this off, a ronde barber 92 yard interception return later...

definitely wasn't as fun as the 4 TD first half where McNabb broke his ankle earlier in the year I saw and almost got thrown in the vet clink, but was finally able to make it up the ramp to the seating area on my third attempt. Was a school trip, so I went with a sprite bottle full of vodka on that one, worked well...

I know it’s recent, and I’m a homer, but I gotta say that KCs playoff run to a Super Bowl victory was pretty amazing. Every win was a come from behind victory. If this was the 80s, I def would have gotten a football shaped phone and signed up for sports illustrated.

Just watching on tv live with my brother in law......Nutz....never expected what we saw.....

It was the Barber INT return that still sticks in my head almost 20 years later. The Jurievicius TD sucked, but a lot of game was left.

Of the two back to back NFCCG losses that would sucked so much worse.
