it turned out to be a terrific game, but they both were expecting to be in the actual title game..not just a NY6 bowl game.
that ou team wasn't that great either but they held a backfield of VY and Cedric Benson to 0 points.. Every UT fan was ready to run Mack out at that point.. I know he felt it because even the media he controlled began to turn on him.. which caused his come to Jesus moment and let Greg Davis give the keys to the offense to VY.I don't think Michigan was ever expecting to be in the title game that year.
They were starting a True Frosh QB and lost their 2nd game to a bad ND team.
Plus even if they did not get shit stomped by Ohio State, theres no way they coulda been in the title game anyway considering USC and Oklahoma were both undefeated.

I would love to see P5 v P5 challenge. Rotate the conferences each year, take the previous season conference standings and line the teams up. #1 SEC vs #1 BIG, #2 SEC vs #2 BIG , etc... while the BIG and SEC duke it out, the PAC and B1G12 is going at it and for the left over conf. (in this example ACC) have them go against the top G5 schools from the previous year. The number of members may not match up, so just leave the extra bottom-dwellers to find a their own matchup with some G5/FCS team.
Any group of these guys playing each other would be awesome:
USC
Texas
Oklahoma
Alabama
Ohio State
Clemson
Michigan
Florida State
LSU
There was a Pac 12 CG? How did Oregon State do?did you not watch last years Pac 12 championship game?

Iowa hasn't lost to Iowa State since 2014. How about Oregon?Iowa fans talk a lot of shit for a program without-Oregon an outright conference title sine 1985![]()

IDK, I think getting blown out Stanford would be better than losing to ISU.The game went about as well as it did for Iowa the last time they played in the Rose Bowl.
Just Kidding, it didn't go that badly

Nebraska vs USCI'd like to see all the teams who've severely disappointed their fans lately play eachother
Michigan vs Texas would be a dandy.
How about Florida State vs Tennessee
I guess but in like week 2 of the seasonso... like bowl season?
That'd be great for those of us the are CFB nuts. But, it sounds too much like college hoopy ball so the CFB traditionalist would torpedo it. Maybe they are losing their clout since we're getting a 12 team playoff. We can hope.I would love to see P5 v P5 challenge.
