Bob Dylan turned 80 today

Dylan might just be the most overrated dork in the history of contemporary music of the western world.
He wrote some good songs but has a raspy voice.

lolzzz come on man! In 1964 maybe but as they grew older so did their audience. People in their 70's still listening to the Beatles, ain't nobody over 20 listening to the backstreet boys!
I’ve tried man, I just can’t get into em

Nah fam...

It's hard for me to trust anyone that dislikes Dylan. All that says to me, is you haven't invested the time in him.

Dylan is awesome.
nah, fam. he's fucking terrible. i've heard more than my fair share of his trash. it's all garbage.

Different strokes, but there were so many bands in the 60’s that were pretty much just Bob Dylan cover bands.

It's funny you think so highly of the Stones, I do as well but they pretty much wanted to be the Beatles.
Keith has stated that he stopped listening after they went to India. I think the Stones did a good job of cutting their own path. First time I heard Dead Flowers, I was hooked for life

I’ve shit on the Beatles a lot in this thread, but they’re infinitely better than the Beach Boys
You just proved you know nothing about music. Stick to Country music as it is all you know.

The Beatles ran out of steam after only 6 years.

I agree, they had to but in the early years they definitely looked up to the Beatles, which obviously wasn't a bad thing. It just seems weird to love the Stones and not like the Beatles at all.

The Stones got rutted when Brian died. I don't have much interest in their music if it was produced after he passed.

The Beatles did what they set out to do each time. There were no other avenues to pursue together.

The Beatles were a pop band and the Stones had a harder rock edge.

I don’t like all the artists my favorite artists were inspired by. There’s Elvis influence in a lot of the music I like, I don’t like Elvis at all
