doped up the dog last night when the thunder and lightning started. He seemed to settle pretty nicely. Even had Alexa play some ocean sounds to try to cover the sound of thunder, which actually wasn't too bad to sleep to.

weekend should be nice.
 
Ran down to the gym, and worked out. My legs felt tired, but I haven't really worked them since Monday. Weird. Watched Pen15... Also weird, but it was funny

I did a couple talkie bike rides with Kendall last night, some 80's rock, good workout....plus added warm up and cool down rides
 
Going to be one of those slow threads today, huh?

I'm getting dinner with NYC girl tonight. Not likely to get wet.

Appears so. Don't really have any plans tonight. It would probably be a good night for a fire, though

YUUUGE night at the track, won $4.15.

Taking Murray to vet in a bit to get pins in his knee removed
 
Went to a smaller outdoor concert last night, Beatles tribute band. It had been a long time since that happened, and it was very enjoyable.

They were offering Covid shots with an ice cream reward for any who wanted one.

we are getting more rain tonight.

if you looked outside today you'd never know we had a tropical storm roll through last night with tornado warnings and al lthat.

Yeah, I was thinking of going up for a "booster" shot.

Fortunately, my daughter bought me a snow cone instead.

I usually bet exactas and trifectas, I'll mix in combo of favorites and long shots

I'll look for successful trainer/jockey combos and horses that have shown improvement over last few races

If I see a top trainer or top jockey on a horse with double digit odds, I'll often take that one

I hit a trifecta and win bet last, lost rest netting out $4

My win bet I bet too early, I bet it at 5-1, at post it was closer to 1-1
 
Ohio is finally cracking down on expired licenses and tags. Way too many cars driving along with no plates at all lately.

That's similar to what I tried to do back in the day.

My wife picked based on jersey colors.

At the end of the day, our results were usually the same.
 
It's raining pretty freakin hard out there right now. I'll bet that the folks attending the swim meet at the city owned outdoor Olympic pool 100 yards from my house are just loving it.
 
The rain has pretty much stopped over here in Queens, not sure if this is a lull or if the storm has completely passed us by, but we don't need anymore. All the roads got flooded out yesterday just from a t-storm
