Would the Oklahoma/Texas addition up the payout for each school, come renegotiation time???

so if that pushes a 16 team SEC what do the other conferences do?

So they gonna replace them with Houston and UNT? Go the whole 9 yards and add UTEP and Rice to make it C-USA light a full 12

What if the SEC has already decided to expand to 16, and they are proactive towards the teams they would want first, second, and so on.

Maybe this kind of talk is done in advance in dark back rooms.

That would be interesting.

I think the Big Ten might pursue some combo of WVU, Kansas and Iowa State.

ACC might pursue WVU along with ND as a full time member.

PAC 12 could expand east and try to expand the conference's footprint.

West Virginia adds almost nothing as far as footprint and is terrible academically

Iowa would probably block Iowa State

Kansas doesn’t add much for footprint but is a power in basketball so could see for that

They can't just add Kansas though. I could see WV and Kansas going to the Big Ten. WV could be a potential rival for Maryland, Rutgers and Penn State.

Kansas adds a new market (KC) and is a blue blood in basketball.

Does "footprint" matter anymore in a cord cutting world?

No way in hell Rutgers gets in in 2021

West Virginia doesn’t add anything. Zero chance they are added for reasons I already said.

WVU goes to the ACC if anything. History with teams from the Big East en sech.

It all depends on whether the Big Ten wants Kansas. If they want Kansas, there aren't going to be any better options for the 16th team. Unless they think ND is in play (they're not)

ACC could pursue them but only if they can get ND to join as well. I would actually prefer that because it's a better fit for WV.

Maybe not but Big 10 people were pissed about Nebraska’s academic ranking when joining, do you really think they’ll wanna add West Virginia which is substantially worse ?

Eh, maybe but maybe not. The ACC already has 15 and probably want to get to at least 16, which is where WVU comes in. If they just want to hit that number that's probably their best bet unless something weird like App State happens.

People said that about the ACC and then they added Louisville. Just like they did with Nebraska, the Big Ten folks would get over it.

ACC only has 15 if you include ND. I don't think they are going to make the move unless ND joins as a full time member.

Time to add Rice and Bailor for academics.

Right @Hu War Yu?

Ah yeah you're right, I thought Louisville made it 15. In that case I'm sure they'd have a renewed focus on ND being a full-time member (which they might have to do anyway if these super conference things become reality).
