Not just the financial change could be significantly different. How about things like this? Realignment fallout?

"If the NCAA and Emmert are not going to lead college athletics, this move will position the SEC and Sankey to fill the void.

It may not be the most principled move stealing the Longhorns and Sooners, but as we learned a decade ago, there is no honor amongst conferences in realignment.

With the most best teams, the SEC will essentially be able to make its own rules. Why stop at a limit of 25 scholarships per year? The SEC could, on its own, go to 30. Why not 40? How about a 150-man roster?"
With a 17 game season if you go to a 12 game playoffs, you may need a 150 man roster

Any news from the SEC? I would thought they would have the vote by now. Based on how the SEC handled Missouri and Texas A&M, they are usually very efficient with the process.

Patience.....
They're drafting Ohio St, Michigan, Penn St, Nebraska, Notre Dame, and Southern Cal's exit letters.

You forgot Clemson and Florida State. Those two schools are so funny because they are SEC schools that are NOT in the SEC. Cultural, both are a far better fit for the SEC.

I can understand the UGA tension. This isn't really a good day for them.
In what sense is today not a good day for us? Like you, we are setting up an extra $30 million a year. All pod scenarios look good to me. Even if we end up with Bama and the Barn in the East, I am ok with that. Great rivalries that would be great to see year in year out. I can't see a downside that is specific to UGA. Fill us in.

Always with the ass play
You really don't want to go there ... your team is a bunch of ass grabbers ... proof below you perv:

CLEMSON, S.C. — Clemson linebacker Ben Boulware downplayed Christian Wilkins groping an Ohio State player, as well as himself grabbing South Carolina offensive lineman Zack Bailey by the butt, when he met with the media on Wednesday.

Boulware said it is something the Tigers have done all year to mess with players.

“Is that really that big of a deal? People that are blowing that up have never played the game,” Boulware said. “Me and Christian have fun out there. That’s how we play the game ... It’s something we do, just have fun. It might look weird or homosexual to others, but it’s just fun out there. We just like to have fun.”

Boulware added that Wilkins might have gone a bit over the top by making his grab so obvious.

“No one’s probably done it as aggressive as Christian did,” Boulware said. “We try to be a little more discrete about it and like poke somebody. He definitely grabbed a handful.”

Bailey tweeted out a video of Boulware poking him in the butt after Wilkins’ incident on Saturday.

“I did it against USC where the dude tweeted it,” Boulware said. “I just poked him in the butt. It’s something we do just to mess with players just to kind of break up the seriousness of the game.”

Boulware also said that poking someone in the butt is better than what happens at the bottom of some piles.

“Would you rather me poke you in the belly button or grab your butt, rather than me stomp on your ankle or kick you in the area?” he said. “I have a whole video compilation of me messing with offensive linemen or players. I’ve never done it as aggressive as Christian did it. I would just poke them. But it’s something we do just to mess around out there. It’s gained some unwanted attention.”

And with the transfer portal and NIL, who cares if the biggies sign a bunch. Kids can always transfer if they can't get a good NIL deal or aren't getting playing time.

Back when CFB was glorious and was more about pride than money.
They're just mimicking Pro Football (basketball, baseball)... It isn't about 'love of the game" anymore ... it's just "Show Me The Money"! AND Me, Me, ME!!

SEC is morphing into NCAA 2.0 ... NCAA is soon to be 'burnt toast'!

:pop2: :martini:

Why? Y’all might win the game, but we’ll whip your ass in the parking lot. Ain’t no limp wristed Bama fan can handle a Dawg fan. Even our cheerleaders could whip any Bama fan’s ass

UGA can only dream of having a QB like Trevor Lawrence but nice photoshop tho :yo:

@Thiefery, in a previous comment you said "The private schools can go fuck themselves". That seems a bit nebulous. Could you please be more clear about how you feel regarding them?
talking about tcu and Baylor.. they have been leaching off UT since the beginning of time.. especially Baylor. They are private institutions, there is no reason why they should have any say what or where UT does.

I was just pulling your leg. I understood that. I was just ribbing you about your cold ass attitude toward TCU and Baylor. LMAO Brutal, man.

Oh boy, the Oklahoma State Prez has got a knot in her panties. OSU was a LOT better off when they still had Burn Hargis as their President and the Cowboys would have been much more likely to end up in a good spot. That guy was smart, tough and pure class. This chick has been on the job for a month and she is melting down already.

Oklahoma State president: Oklahoma 'broke a bond of trust' with push to move to SEC

Spent a lot of time in OKC before I retired.

I always considered Oklahoma a Great Plains state.

If anyone's looking for a fight then call Nebraska the "Midwest".

What’s retarded is calling a state like Ohio “Midwest” fucking middle-easterners
