Fookin A.

We have East Coastal, West Coastal and the Middle. You know, flyover country. Damn, I love the Old West but sadly, it doesn't exist anymore. Welcome to judges, lawyers and the Midwest

Judges and lawyers fix things Monday-Friday. The weekends are a different story. As for Nebraska, your Wild West starts well west of Lincoln. And yes I have seen Chimny Rock.

My kid could color better than that in 2nd grade.

Oh, look. Ohio is in Midwest orange.

That's because Ohio is in the Midwest.

Not my map btw.

Here's another.

In what sense is today not a good day for us? Like you, we are setting up an extra $30 million a year. All pod scenarios look good to me. Even if we end up with Bama and the Barn in the East, I am ok with that. Great rivalries that would be great to see year in year out. I can't see a downside that is specific to UGA. Fill us in.

Your schedule just got harder with Alabama in the reg season & the Gentleman's agreement that has been insurance in keeping Gtech & Clemson out of the SEC got scrubbed. But I dig the positivity.

And it isn't particular to just UGA, the same can be said for teams like USCe, Texas A&M and Florida.

This is REALLY BAD news for my team if true.

REALLY BAD
BiG may not want to consider WV due to poor academics, sports teams are decent fit, but think WV falls short in education area. Think the logic choice is AAC, not sure if ACC will consider either.

The only chance WVU has of remaining a P5 is ACC. In order to do that we need teams like Clemson and FSU to tell Tobacco Road they would like us in. Also the Big poaching ACC teams like Virginia (doubtful) and Gtech would help us extremely. That’s all a pretty big long shot.

As I stated, this is very bad news for WVU.

South Carolina will never make the playoffs in the current SEC, so, we're like Vanderbilt
South Carolina had a three year stretch under Spurrier where they went 33-6. Sadly in the new SEC that will be nearly impossible to replicate. Shame too b/c South Carolina has a loyal fan base that always shows up, regardless of how good their team is.

2011-2013, they were pretty damn good. Crazy that the 2010 team is the only S.C. team to win the East.

Well, looks like it is a done deal and Texas & OU to the SEC.

10 years ago when all the T-Sip idiots would claim A&M was "running away from the big 12" I pointed out that A&M was going seeking more stability, away from a group of assholes in Austin that will stab you in the back if it will make them $.25. I said A&M needed to get out before Texas decided they could do better somewhere else and left A&M standing holding our peckers. Back then it was Texas flirting with the Pac12 in order to negotiate the LHN. A&M told Texas to fuck off and everyone thought we were stupid for looking out for ourselves instead of hoping Texas isn't run by a bunch of two faced pricks. Well Tech and OkieSt...how do you guys feel about it now?

A&M was proactive and did what we wanted and what was best for us, not listening to any BS from T-Sip fans. Now we see Texas is chasing A&M around to greener pastures. They can't even be relevant in a weak ass big12, but now wants to join the SEC. Good stuff.

This shit hasn't been about "pride" for like 50 years. It's money. It's been about money for a long ass time. From the time the game popped up on the pictured tube box, its been about money. Some of y'all need to wake up. The only difference now, because of NIL and the fact they'll eventually have to pay the players, the conferences no longer have to pretend it was about amateurism, pride, school spirit, or whatever fairy tale front they came up with. They can't hide behind the mask anymore. So they're just going ahead and making the necessary moves (basically setting themselves up to tell the NCAA to fuck off) so they can position themselves for more money. They gotta split the pie now so to keep their appetites satisfied, they have to make a bigger pie.
The writing is on the way for two things to happen and not just on a per conference basis.
1. They are going to make a bigger pie.
2. They will divide the pie amongst fewer mouths.

Yeah, going to be hard to poach a school from the ACC for the Big12. However, if they could get some more easterly teams then it would make the geography a lot easier for your team.

Big12 was stupid to listen, and trust, Texas. From the first second A&M and mizzou left the Big12 should have been out trying to lure in bigger fish to play with Texas and OU. But instead they sat on their asses and trusted Texas and OU to honor at least their media deals.
