Monday morning starring ThePeoplesChicken

One of the doctors I worked for, even with ability to get reimbursed would go out of his way to get a good deal including renting cars to travel between cities or even use trains

While I could appreciate effort to save $$, never made sense to me as he had plenty of travel funds....
Our paralegal occasionally spends an inordinate amount of time trying to save us $20 here or $10 a month on some bill. Apparently it doesn't register that we bill her out at $180/hr, so if she skipped the attempted cost savings and worked on a client file instead, we make that up real quick.

I used to drive to Atlanta rather than flying but only because my client's office was north of Atlanta and the airport is south through tons of crazy traffic. Time to drive was probably the same as flying and sitting in shitty traffic.
I've driven through Atlanta traffic twice. The worst.

Not worse than Minneapolis traffic!!!!!!!!!

Minneapolis does have too many cloverleaf interchanges.

"I know lets have 55-70 mph that has traffic entering and accelerating in same lane as traffic that wants to exit and decelerate, brilliant"

Not only are they cloverleaf, it's the fact you get about one car length's worth of breathing room between the onramp and offramp.

And Minnesotans can't zippermerge if you gave them a fucking half mile.

It's the lulziest shit imaginable.

My old finance manager was a cheapskate, there was a brief period he refused to supply pens, kleenex etc.

In my quest to end all the pointless printing two boomers insisted on as part of their procedures, I did the math on how much we spent on paper, toner, and copier maintenance to make my case to eliminate printing. Came to few hundred a year

I still lost

I agree with you there, it's terrible

Headache, fever, sneezing, dry cough, weak, no energy

somebody needs to explain to her: CODB

If it makes her work life simpler and more efficient, go for it. But that's generally not the case....it's usually just finding something slightly less expensive that takes multiple hour of work to get it done.
