What’s the most pretentious thing you’ve ever heard?

:dingdingding:

Was that so hard? Because being surrounded by high rollers from CA and NY all of a sudden makes you a better Michagander.

Wasn’t true anyways. But the illusion/delusion was strong.
There was a total dipshit michigander neighbor out here for a while. He had a big lions tattoo. He was loud and obnoxious, and tried to tell me they called him "buckets" back home cause he was so good at basketball. I beat him 5 straight games of HORSE, two of which I never got a single letter.
That dude was full of more shit than a neglected stable.

It takes a special breed to get a Lions tattoo. Was the court near a trailer park?

It was in my backyard. We were having garage beers at the other neighborhouse when he started having explosive diarrhea of the mouth, so I dragged him across the street to shut him up.

I could see pretentiousness through the assumption that someone from CA or NY is by default a better home owner than a native Michigander.
I didn’t even know there were subs in rural Michigan.

Absolutely. Most subs in most areas used to be farms/farm land. I’m old enough to remember when Hall road was mostly cows and pigs.

Everything keeps moving north. Our last home was way back on 36 mile in the middle of the woods in rural Romeo. Farmer bro made a killing selling that land to Lombardo builders.

She was this close.

Pasties are the original Cornish miners lunch and dinner.
Unless you consider Cornish as English In which case I have some friends of Cornish descent that will be willing to shove some pasties up your ass.

Ha! As if I would just waste a great and life altering storytelling experience like that here...

In my hillbilly brain, there isn’t anything rural in Michigan southeast of Flint. Just various flavors of Detroit. Lol
