Hot Seat…who’s the hottest?

They seem like they were leaning into hiring one of their own right?

Seems that way.

A guy that can walk through the locker room, weight room, film room, team meetings, and nutrition cafeteria, and know if the culture is right.

Alberts and Stewart both fit that description.

Frost will be gone by mid season or once they finish below .500

Frost is safe, not because he has a "young" team or anything..They hired his homie that's going to ride with him for another 5 seasons.. hell maybe he's the one pushing that it's a young team for PR

Think Wells had the hottest seat in the Big12 but with expansion looming, he may get a pass this season if he can look remotely decent. Doubt they want to pay him, then overpay another HC when the payout is set to decrease for them.

I forgot who mentioned Fuente earlier, but I agree with that.. he's gone, rightfully so if he has a losing or even .500 season

Frost isn't Trev's homie. I have no doubt that Trev has the balls to pull the trigger if need be.

could've sworn he said they were really tight.. but maybe that's just PR talk? But i do think Trevor will right the ship, heard he is really good

Not gonna lie, Frost Is toast

The back of your mom's throat is about to be toast

Frost is not on the Hot Seat.

Of the 85 players on scholarship going into this season, 52 of them (61%) are classified as Freshmen or Redshirt Freshman.

Frost is safe until the end of 2023 at the earliest.

I get the, we're young, side of things. But isn't that because so many guys have transferred out of the program? He's entering his 4th year. The roster shouldn't be looking like that IMO.

I think he's safe after this year, but a 5/6 win season would have him solely on it going into 2022.

Yep. I addressed that.

Fairly talented divas transferred out because they were sitting the bench.

They were sitting the bench because of their lack of work ethic. i.e. Riley Culture.

I didn't read through the whole thread, just saw your response and was curious from that standpoint. What does Nebraska do at QB after this year? Is there anyone to take over after AM graduates? Starting a new QB also adds to the intrigue with Frost.

Assuming Martinez doesn't come back for another year, there's a 4-star freshman and a 3-star freshman fighting for the backup role this year. Transfer portal is also an option.

The position that has transferred the most is WR. They transferred because they weren't getting playing time.

Frost likes that swing pass. If the rcvrs don't block on that swing pass you get what we've seen the past couple years. 1yd, 3 yds, -2 yds, etc..

Other than Johnny Rodgers or Erving Fryer, name me an NFL Nebraska rcvr in the Osborne era off the top of your head.

There were none because Nebraska rcvrs blocked first and caught passes second.

Frost's rcvrs will block or they'll grab wood.

Hard to tell until they get into an actual game. You can look great in practice wearing a 'no contact' green jersey.

Having Big 10 DL's and LB's that want to rip your f'n head off coming at you is an entirely different situation.

That’s just not true. Every year we hear the Michigan QB looks amazing in spring ball by have everything reported that is bought and paid for by Michigan’s athletic department and every year they win the September Heisman.

Also due to Covid, AM is listed as a junior.
Unless he has a banner season, i.e. gets some protection and reduces his number of mistakes we could see him in 2022 as well.

I don't blame everything on AM. He's been running for his life most plays and rcvrs need to be where they're supposed to be.

I've always believed 50% of a QB's game is 'mental'. You can have all the talent in the world around you, but if you don't have that mental aspect down you'll be selling insurance in your hometown in short order.

Many dumb excuses for Frosts’ shit leadership. The ship is almost sunk, this season will prove it.
