Oh, he probably shouted it at one point in his life... ...Just not in this investigated incident...The fan never shouted the N word.
Yep. It’s B. Sorry cancel mob….nothing to see here.
Dinger doesn’t sound like nigger at all.
OP needs to go back to bed and be less woke. Jesus fucking Christ.,,
People are so fucking judgemental and quick to call out any perceived racial injustice. Sign of the times I guess.
Won't surprise me at all if the poor SOB being labeled a racist is developmentally disabled. What grown man yells at the top of his lungs to get the attention of a 6' tall purple dinosaur two sections over?
Yes. Clearly the Rockies are at fault for having a mascot whose name sounds vaguely like the N-word. Think back to controversies of past years where English teachers dared use the word, "niggardly" or that Spanish ad taken to task for its word for black. So if/when we find out this guy was yelling "Dinger" instead of everyone admitting they were wrong and trying to not rush to judgment we're instead going to cancel the name "Dinger" for sounding too close to the N word, right?
We laugh but I've already seen calls for his name to be changed.Yes. Clearly the Rockies are at fault for having a mascot whose name sounds vaguely like the N-word. While playing euchre…Oh, he probably shouted it at one point in his life... ...Just not in this investigated incident...
...Nearly everyone on the planet has said the N word at some point in their life, but the vast majority of us have not had malicious intent behind it... (i.e. reciting a rap lyric or a movie quote or a Richard Prior joke or tongue-in-cheek ironic humor or ...)
"that's different"Always found it funny people lose their minds when a white person says it but think nothing of it when a black person says it. If it's a bad word for anybody it's a bad word for everybody.
You gotta be pretty racist to not hear Dinger in that audio. Then to assume some dude is just screaming it in front of thousands…We laugh but I've already seen calls for his name to be changed.
Dinger was never an issue for 25 years and now that some white wokes (wrongly) thought they heard the N word it needs to change. THEY'RE not the ones who, in their rush to judgment to show everyone how offended they are and form twitter mobs, who has to change, it's everyone else.
Off topic, but the last season I had half-season tickets at Petco, $8 was my limit. For me the best strategy was to go to all day games and then we'd post up at the Hooters in the gaslamp afterward and drink oceans of happy hour pitchers. For night games, I'd drink a tallboy in the parking lot to get warmed up then get hammered in the gaslamp and only need one expensive beer during the game to maintain. That was over ten years ago. I'm guessing beers are like $12.50 now? No fuckin way. Not doing it!Sure, there's that. Hard for me to fathom getting hammered on $11 beers doh.
Happens in Boston...You gotta be pretty racist to not hear Dinger in that audio. Then to assume some dude is just screaming it in front of thousands…
Woke up at 3:30 this morning with the TV on NBC, was one of their first “stories” on the National news. Not a single white face was part of the broadcast fwiw.
There's zero penalty for being wrong, as we've seen. Apparently the good intentions of woke allies mean that mistakes are just going to happen. The Covington high school / Native American elder fracas proved that such people will actually double down on their accusations, rather than admit fault. We laugh but I've already seen calls for his name to be changed.

By God, good on Manfred for moving the ASG to a place where actual racism doesn't happen. Hank Aaron would be proud.
Hey Colorado Rockies (and all other sports teams watching this)…..how about you fuck off on the rushing to judgement out of deference to an online mob. Don’t let the terrorists win.Now the Rockies organization is saying that it was "Dinger":

Rockies say fan was shouting ‘Dinger,’ not racial slur
A day after the Colorado Rockies released a statement regarding the use of an alleged racial slur targeting Miami Marlins’ Lewis Brinson, the organization confirmed that the fan was shouting …kdvr.com
Never mind that they were among the first to rush to judgment, claiming they were "disgusted" and that the remark was absolutely aimed at Lewis Brinson. Fan is well within his rights to sue for millions.
I’ve spent a few nights in the gaslamp…Hooters was the best you could do?Off topic, but the last season I had half-season tickets at Petco, $8 was my limit. Not sure what you're saying. You went to the Gaslamp, full of outside patios and dive bars and Hooters and shit looking for Ruth's Chris? What do you mean by "the best you could do?" I knew everybody there and like the food, beer and atmosphere. What, you think I should have chosen Dick's Last Resort? lol You're not in the Gaslamp before/after Padres games for ambience.I’ve spent a few nights in the gaslamp…Hooters was the best you could do?
I like the ambiance at Hooters.I’ve spent a few nights in the gaslamp…Hooters was the best you could do?
Fair confusion. I just detest Hooters food. Can’t remember where we went after the game at Petco. It was a dive bar, and it wasn’t named Hooters, so I was happy. Not sure what you're saying.
