Fantasy CFB

Either way it'll be fun for me, but I've enjoyed having that option in the past. I'm in another league with 16 people and it's just P5 + ND & BYU. It's extremely difficult especially if you get hit with injuries. You really need to nail the draft and have some luck with not having injuries.

I also like the intrigue of the keeper aspect and how that plays out knowing they might not be available next season.
That’s why I hate NFL fantasy because you’re screwed if you have a bad draft.

Cool. We’re set. And yes, aac and BYU/nd are in the player pool.

Perfect.

Have we discussed keepers? I'm a full keeper guy but years ago we settled on 3.

If we want to go with the 3 keeper rule and rotating G5 conference, I suggest a rule. Keepers are limited to P5 BYU and ND only. I'd like to see a rule where if you have a solid AAC QB but next year we have MWC players you trade your keeper for an extra early draft pick but that would get abused so the easiest way to let people with non playoff teams work towards the next season is to let them retain players they know will be eligible.

Nice. Was hoping you'd log back on here at some point soon.

Glad I was able to get back in before it filled. It's the only college fantasy league I have so I was pissed I let it slip briefly

I like staying with 3 keepers.

As far as the AAC, I'd make them eligible to be kept, but knowing in the end you might not be able to if it looks like the Mtn West or Sun Belt is going to get the G5 spot. That's all part of the strategy IMO.

I agree with this, and was the rule before. 3 keepers, any eligible player is fine, just have to be aware that we have a group of players in the pool whose eligibility for the next year will not be guaranteed.

This is my first ever college fantasy football league, be gentle! Can I draft Herschel Walker?

For me, usually by round four!

True story. Many years ago when I was in grad school we did a pro league. One guy who was a Wisconsin native did Adam Vinatieri in the first round because it was SDSU students and Green Bays defense in the 2nd because he was from Wisconsin. We were all sitting in the computer room taking turns (I'm old) and I was just like wow. He is pretty random on his picks after that and ended up middle of the pack.

Lesson learned there-unless you are super into it draft whoever you want and you will have an ok season.
