Meh-nday Morning

And you people think I'm a stalker
I have like 4 "friends" on there. When one posts over 200 check ins in a weekend, it's hard not to notice.

I checked in one beer this weekend

Tree House Brewing Blender IPA.

it was delicious.

Got back from our trip to Yellowstone last night. Total of 2500 miles, and 52 hours of driving, over 10 days. Just the wife and I. Sounds like a lot, but loved it. We exited all four of the park gates, N,E,S and W.

Saw everything but a grizzly and wolf, but saw those at some habitat outside of the West gate in West Yellowstone.

Absolutely amazing place. Beautifully terrifying.
I spent 4 days there and felt like I saw about 10% of it. Yellowstone is fucking awesome.

Teeth are cleaned.

This ambulance bill is a real motherfucker. Opened a dispute now in two states since I got the collections notice last week. New Jersey won't do anything about it since the policy was written in Arizona, so I had to submit a complaint there today.

Is this the least amount of pages in a daily thread ever?

I paid a $108 bill to a lawyer over my formerly huge nut the other day. From years ago.

I kept ignoring collections because I was convinced insurance would take care of it and then got notice I was going to be sued. It got sold twice.

My insurance told me I shouldn't pay it, and told the provider to contact them for any disputes. I even contacted a friend who works with a law firm (they won't take the case because they deal more with personal injury shit), who wrote a letter on my behalf. At most, I feel I can't be on the hook for more than my out-of-pocket maximum, which is like a grand over the deductible. The provider is chasing us for $2,200, and has now sold it to collections.

At this point, my level of understanding to the provider has gone from "hey, I get it, let's try to work something out" to "go fuck yourself, I hope you don't get a penny and you have to pay fines and legal bills."

Hope the weather forecast for Friday holds. Took off work, going to an amusement park for Ham's half-birthday (not something we'd normally do, but we feel like she kinda had a raw deal on some things with COVID and the baby). Calling for sunny skies and upper 80s, perfect for roller coasters and the water park.

It's very strange system.

Oh, and it was nice of my HR department to update me to remote work, but not say anything to me about having New York State tax withholdings. Finally got that resolved today.

Apparently my friend's sister and brother in law aren't going to his wedding because they refuse to get vaccinated (Puerto Rico must require it?).
