I used to drink me some RC's. I haven't had any kind of cola in about 20 years, and quit soft drinks completely a while back.

I haven't given up sugar completely, but I'm almost there. This middle-aged metabolism is for the birds

I haven’t given up sugar completely, but I take in very little. You know, the diabeetus and all.

I wish I wasn't so stubborn/dumb. I've done what you've described, but I don't wear gloves. I figure it was so painful the last time I rubbed my eyes, I won't do it again. That lasts for a couple/few years, then one day, dumbass that I am, I'll be cuttin' hot peppers and rub my eyes, kick myself for being so damn dumb, suffer a bit, and then the pattern repeats. :facepalm:

I have this weird block about wearing gloves, whether in the kitchen, doing yard work ... really for anything other than a cold day. I don't know what it is ... I know I should wear them, I just ... don't/won't.

Maybe I enjoy laughing at myself ... what a dumbass I can be ... just a little too much?

Fuck if I know.

I abuse my hands all the time with no gloves. Yard work and dumb shit. Never liked wearing work gloves unless there are serious thorns or sumshit. Handling raw meat, and doing dry rubs, or cutting up peppers, Im wearing gloves. Also mincing garlic. I hate smelling garlic on my fingers for hours.
