National Vodka+Golf+Taco=Monday

It’s definitely obliterated morale and motivation in many people causing tons of extra problems for employers.
Definitely agree with this.

There likely would have never been a "fat is beautiful" movement.

Murray's behavior continues to be a mystery

Neighbors had a long day at some even, so asked if we'd feed their dog and let him out. We said sure and took their dog and Murray on a walk. Both dogs were super excited to see each other and took them on an hour long walk together, they walked side by side most of walk, wagging tails, etc. You'd never think by watching them interact on leash they (murray) can't be trusted off leash together

I mean, there have definitely been changes to behaviors as a result of technology, but now it's a "community" of fringe people, instead of just a bunch of loners on their own.

I guess, though, that it's easier to just blame Zuck.
I would contend that social media is just the latest, an extension if you please. The internet had a similar effect. Chatrooms, fringe websites that cater to weird

There are two kinds of crazy. The first is a guy who strips off all his clothes runs out into the snow and howls at the moon. The second, is a guy that does the same thing in my living room. The first one doesn't matter, the second you are kind of forced to deal with
See, now howl at the moon guy does it on youtube.

And he has 4 million followers.

And .4 million of them see that shit and want to "top" it.

Which leads to dumber more mentally ill shit.

Eh, this is essentially where I was going.
And my point is that 99.99% of the time before, if someone decided that he/she/they now identified as a cat and we're going to transition into a cat, no one outside of their normal social network would know. It's easier for these people to reach an audience, but people did dumb shit like this before.

Nah, just a different version. When the 3 Stooges were on TV during the late 40's-50's kids were trying to emulate the stupid shit they were doing. Then during the WWF craze same thing. Just a different medium

I'd say there'd be less people "trying" to actively identify as a helicopter. Like I said, I think it "activates" the crazy in a lot of people.

No, these people would still be doing it. You just wouldn't know about it.

Agreed but I think Douche is correct as well. People did dumb shit before, but now more people are likely to do it. Sure some idiots probably ate some tide pods once before. But then you had an entire movement of people doing it because of social media. Sure some idiots vandalized their high schools. Now you have more of them doing it and documenting it on tik tok like retards.

There has always been weird people doing weird things. I feel now tho, that we probably have a higher percentage doing weird shit because its so easy to see others doing it on the twatter and likes. And for whatever reason people see this and connect with it.

@Flavortown Tebow are you familiar with the infamous War of the Worlds broadcast?

I would agree that current social media platforms accelerate problems

Eh.

We had senior pranks at my high school. Some of the ones are the stuff of legend, like they allegedly got a car on the roof of the carport once.

These idiots would have found a different outlet for their idiocy. Social media gives them an outlet, but they would have done some other dumb shit.
