This is Riley's 7th season as OC at Oklahoma
It's his 5th season as Head Coach.

Now, match that up with what we have seen this year on the field.

I don't care what OU's record is since 2000. They weren't playing a SEC schedule. They are going from the big fish in a small pond, where Texas was the biggest rival, to just another fish with all the other big fish in the SEC.

I think Michigan is 3-3 against Alabama, but the LAST team i'd ever want in my division or even my conference was Alabama and with the crazy amount of talent in the state of Georgia these days -- I wouldn't want them anywhere near me until i had to face them.

OU is going to go from CFP all the time -- to the CFP once in a blue moon.
They aren’t CFP all the time now. The only thing they do all the time is win the Big 12 Championship which basically they beat 2 decent but not elite teams a year.

I was laughing because they were posting earlier this year about how they always had to play murderer’s row every Nov. They have no idea.

15 million a year? That would be suicide for a program because it kills an athlete budget unless you have boosters that will front at least 5 million of it. People think money grows on trees but it doesn’t and that’s a shit ton to cover.

I literally don’t see it happening and I think 10 years at 10 million is the top. A 100 million contract is insane. I’d rather Auburn roll the dice with a Harsin than shoot for the moon with that type of foolishment.

Who are you going to get? You’ve had Stoops and now Riley and you’ve won 7 straight B12 titles. There isn’t a big pool of Saban’s out there and most that are even close are locked up.

At best you’re rolling the dice.

Looks like Tucker is staying put. Guess LSU will have to go elsewhere

I never bought into the Tucker to LSU thing but I'm glad it didn't work out.. If he can coach decent enough, they were going to be a huge problem.. Black headcoach at LSU.. look out

It's only 96Mil. Come on Oklahoma, man-up. Offer the man 100Mil and keep him.

Please

Pretty please

I'll throw in the redhead.

who is that GIF

I can top that -- The rumor here is MSU is offering Mel Tucker a 10 year 95 million dollar contract. If I were Tucker -- I accept that offer before this weekend's game against OSU and they pass for 700 yards.

OU will not match 100 million. They'll shake hands and wish Riley good luck. What say you @Goldbug ?

In fact if LSU does take Riley they'll pay us the buyout which we'll pay to leave the big xii. Win win. We'll see Riley next year. Hah

Isn't $10million+/year Saban level money? Why are schools willing to pay Saban like money to guys BEFORE they have achieved Saban like results?

If Tucker were smart, he would have went to LSU if they offered him. He is set up for failure at MSU. That contract is going to put regular B1G titles and CFP appearances as the expectations and it simply isn't happening at MSU because of recruiting.

Then again -- it is a no lose situation for MSU -- Matt Ishbia (former MSU basketball player) went public with his families mortgage company (United Wholesalers) and is now worth $13 billion. So paying the coach that money is nothing to him. It will be just impossible for Tucker to live up to the contract.

Hopefully all these coaches besides Aranda are just looking for a raise and not a new job. But it could be someone no one has on their radar.

What does that have to do with anything?
I'd guess it doesn't hurt in recruiting when the overwhelming majority of the elite recruits are african americans to have a coach who is also african american.
