The #3 Oregon Ducks head to Salt Lake City, Utah to take on the #23 Utah Utes at 7:30PM Est on ABC. This is the game of the week. This is primetime. This is the Pac-12! Oh the sports people are going to be hyping this one up big time because it is the game of the week and it is primetime and it's against two teams playing for their division titles, this one on paper has it all. But guess what? The #3 Oregon Ducks have their eyes set on the big prize, while Utah is focusing and fighting for a spot in the PAC-12 Championship game the Ducks are focusing and fighting for a spot in the College Football Playoffs. The big table.

Everyone will try to hype this game and make it sound like it could be a toss up and maybe, oh just maybe those Utes pull the upset. Lol, I am old enough to remember the 2019 PAC-12 Championship game. Remember those Utes who were super tough, well built, well coached, and just needing the win to get into the playoff? Yeah, Oregon showed up and took the conference title without issue. This years Utah team is nowhere near the level of what that 2019 Utah team was and Oregon has only gotten better. Utes stand no chance in overcoming our defense and their defense can't stop the run, which will Oregon loves to run the football. Utah historically is bad against dual threat QB's and Anthony Brown is a Doctor in roll out passes where he can also run the football.

Get excited folks, fall for the marketing and commercials of ABC/ESPN, but at the end of the day this is Varsity vs JV. The Ducks are in the playoff conversation, the Utes are just hoping to win the South and not potentially fall to a 7-5 record by the end of the year. Get out of the way Utes, but first we will stop by to collect our rent.

SKOOO DUCKS!

OREGON - 35

Utah - 17

Some may argue that a matchup of two top 10 teams, putting them in the driver seat of the division and a foothold into the playoffs is a bigger game.

Utah wins it doesn’t mean anything in the playoff race.

Well it means Oregon is out.

Doesn't really matter to MSU though. If they win out, they are in regardless of what Oregon does.
I'd go as far to say that if they beat Ohio St this weekend, they will essentially just take Ohio Sts current ranking. They will have already beaten Michigan and have a better win than anything Cincinnati currently has.

pshhh....game of the season is in Norman.

I’m just meaning, one game has both teams in the playoff race we’ll the other only has one. I know you didn’t create the thread but it’s like saying Georgia vs Charleston So because Georgia is a top 4 team.

You could argue Michigan State jumping Oregon. Both beat Ohio State, Michigan State would have the better SoS, the better second win, the better loss.

That being said, we are going to get trucked.
