Miami (FL) is apparently a dump program

Yeah, they only had 5 National Championships without their own stadium.

Um, they don't own it, and they did share it, with the Rams, and the Raiders, and until 1982 UCLA, and a couple of seasons with the Dodgers when they first moved to LA.
1982 was how long ago? You are not paying attention. AGAIN...Miami has not done shit since the 2003 Fiesta Bowl. In the TWENTY-FIRST CENTURY major programs that do not have their own stadium SUCK ASS

USC's stadium is basically right on campus, it's across the street or like a 5 min walk from the campus. Miami's stadium is a 20 minute drive. I agree, not having a stadium on campus is an enormous negative.

Shockingly, Miami has never won the ACC and they have only been to the ACC championship game once. I find this shocking given that when the Canes went to the ACC from the Big East they were one of the biggest programs and best teams in the country.

Adding to this, Miami has only had one 10 win season since 2003..

It’s waay more than 20 minutes. Then throw traffic on top of that could easily be over an hour. It’s kind of a pain when you have to shuttle students an hour each way to get to the game. But they do. On game days there are shuttles running constantly up US1 to I-95.

Even when it was at the old orange bowl, it wasn’t on or near campus.

There will never be a campus stadium or one even in walking distance of the campus. Coral Gables residents would never allow it. They may eventually build something at Tropical Park which is a lot closer than Dolphins Stadium but it’s still not walking distance from campus.

They should certainly try their hardest to get some sort of stadium on campus. Given the Hurricanes low attendance, I dont know if it's worth trying to build something like what Hawaii did this year? Hawaii I think basically added stadium seating to their practice field. I'm assuming Miami has a practice field on campus? Why not just put in some grand stands and build seating upward.

I think the NCAA has a rule to remain D1 you got to have at least 15,000+ seat stadium or something odd like that. I dont know if it is even close to a possibility for Miami to have anything on campus, but having stadiums, especially if they are shared with an NFL team completely deflates the atmosphere. I think the worst is UCONN, they dont share it with an NFL team, but I think their stadium is across the state from campus.

The mighty Gators are the only good program in the state. Just the way I like it.

Now if only Mullen can use that to his advantage and recruit better…

Who would have thought it 10 years ago if you said the top two programs in the state of Florida were the Florida Gators and UCF

There is no place on campus to put it. It’s not a big campus and the citizens of Coral Gables and their $million + homes would never want that kind of traffic bringing the rabble into town.

And when the bandwagon fans come back (and they will if they cobble together a decent season) 15k won’t be enough seats.

After all of this Miami still has a better history then whoregon.

Yep! And USC manages and operates the Coliseum exclusively...

USC kicks off $270 million renovation of Coliseum
"...The Coliseum is jointly owned by the state, the county and the city of Los Angeles, and is managed and operated by USC under a 98-year lease that extends through 2111...."

Last I checked, that's half a decade after Meatchicken last did anything....
