This is my boss’s last week in his current position. There’s only like 5 people here not on vacation this week. Gonna be a long 3 days, but they did give us next Monday off for some reason

I ain’t complaining, but we’re so busy now that we can barely keep enough rock on the ground. Just seems like an odd time to give everyone an extra paid holiday. Close the gates for the customers and let us build some piles up for a day would be nice

I know, right? Because they're going to get those hours out of you during a short week. It's what I hate about taking some time off, I still have to do all the crap that I avoided by not being in the office in the first place. Nobody else magically takes care of it while I'm gone.

We’re short handed, we sold more rock than we ever have this year and are projected to sell more next year. We ain’t hurting for overtime
