I’ve decided that I really don’t like NYE playoff games

Nope. Used to get Good Friday off, but it was traded for the Friday after Thanksgiving.

New Years
Memorial Day
July 4
Labor Day
Thanksgiving
Day after Thanksgiving
Christmas Eve
Christmas

That’s it. We did get an extra day for Christmas this year, but not sure if that’s gonna be permanent
That’s about what I get off save for Black friday and Xmas Eve unless it’s a a Friday or weekend. This year we have to work New Year’s Eve but get off Monday the 3rd. I actually prefer that.

If I didn’t already sell my soul for a Braves World Series title, I’d be a little more excited, but you can only sell your soul once, and I loved the Braves before I ever started watching UGA, so they won out. Neither are capable of winning on their own
Price was way too high.

The mid afternoon slot that Bama and Cincy have isn’t bad, but UGA is the night cap and there goes any other NYE plans. I’m sure I’ll either have people over or go to somebody’s place to watch the game and get drunk, but I like NYE to be a night to just get trashed and not be really concerned with anything, and if UGA loses the whole night is ruined.

I mean, last year I got in a fight with a bouncer and was banned for life from the most popular bar in the nearest town that has a grocery store. Ain’t gonna be the same this year
I liked when they were on New Year’s Day. Now the New Year’s Day games are kinda, who gives a fuck ya know? You already know who is going to the championship so the rose bowl ain’t as fucking cool, idk, my opinion.

like I said fuck it and took the New Year’s Eve duty slot, back in 2018, guard a dumbass building, who gives a shit because there were no games of meaning.
Got off post, snagged some booze and day drank, witnessing that badass double OT UGA OU game. Had a great fucking day.

Next season lose to all in-conference cupcakes, slowly fire coaching staff, beat your instate rival in the last game just to become bowl eligible.

Then you won’t have to worry about a NYE bowl game. Instead you can get embarrassed by a scrub team in a pre-Christmas bowl.

let me know if you need a roadmap to this plan. I have some links to share if necessary.

You’re not the only one that thinks this and I still haven’t heard a valid excuse why they don’t move them.

The excuse that comes closest is that many people don’t get Jan 1 off but that doesn’t fly if you make it a night game.

Move the playoffs to Jan 1st and move the other bowls in that time slot around.
The almighty Rose Bowl HAS to have the Jan 1, 2:00 PM PST time slot. It is in the Bible somewhere.

Zero difference in finishing the season ranked second and going 0-12 IMO

And yet UGA fired him ...
think Richt just lost his passion

pretty obvious at this point that the church is more important to Richt than football

for Kirby, the only thing that rivals football is drinking water out of the toilet and that is an exercise that only takes a few seconds, so i'm not sure what is going on there

I'm starting to think that UGA reached out to Caleb Williams..

He was a UGA lean until Vandagriff flipped. But with Vandagriff on the roster and Gunner Stockton coming in, I doubt Kirby would reach out to him now. But we all know what ever plucky walk on that endears to Kirby that comes along after Bennett will be the next QB

I agree with that about Coach Richt, to a certain degree at least, but I just cannot understand the "Get rid of Kirby if he don't beat Bama this year" mindset. There might ... might ... be a couple of coaches that could do better in Athens but chances are far better that UGA will go down the same path UT did by firing Phil than finding a better coach than Kirby.

I’d rather gamble and lose than stand pat knowing nothing is ever gonna change or get better
