GAME CFP Semifinal: #3 Georgia Vs #2 Michigan 7:30pm ET ESPN

I think both playoff games show it is the SEC and then everyone else. That's not me pimping the conference, just stating the facts.

They have the same size athletes, but they're so much faster. Take a look at the plays on D...when Mich or Cincy made a tackle there were 2 or maybe 3 guys there, when bama or Ga made the play they had 4 or more guys there...they get there fast and ready to hit...not grab, hit. The other thing is they play the entire play, how many times did a Mich player quit on a play and the Ga player make the play...at least 6 times for big plays, then how many other times to make the play. They're competitive in their depth and that's the biggest difference I see.

Cry moar about 5* players.

Ya know how many of those 5*'s turn out to be busts if they're not in the right program?

Which is how we get them...from the portal.

It's like a giant vending machine for Saban

So, should they put in the more talented teams who lose to inferior teams?
I think what we’ve learned most years, it’s Alabama and one more team (usually Clemson) that have the talent and the other two teams are on different levels below.

Exactly. If they show up and they're better than everyone and aren't competing for a spot, it takes a pretty special player to continue to get better. If they're handed the spot and nobody is pushing them, too many get complacent.

I mean, it isn't like Bama wend undefeated in SEC play. And A&M just added a TON of talent.
It is Bama and Georgia, not the SEC. Congrats on A&M with a nice recruiting haul, but they have had exactly one year in the last 10 where they didn't lose at least 4 games and half of those games they lost 5 games. The year they didn't lose 4, they only played 9 games.

Could A&M get to their level? Who knows. They most definitely aren't right now though.
