Too bad about the California wine harvest this year.

Cabernet with notes of ash, wood smoke and soot doesn't work.
 
Have we already had a conversation aboot air fryers? There's one at costco that's giving me a come hither look. :eyebrows:

I got my mom one for Christmas last year and she swears by it. I've never used one, but I hold my mama's word in high regard.

Which one? I have a Ninja Foodi air fryer that kicks ass. This would be my 3rd one. the prior 2 did not work well and i returned them.

I'm looking at the Cuisinart one. Though, I fully admit, I'm eyeing this one with form over function in mind. It's a nice looking machine. I think runner-up would be the NuWave one. I'd like to get one that could hold a whole small roaster, but these look on the smaller side.

@Illustrious Potentate do recall the brand you got yer ma?

They are basically like a little extra oven.

We quite literally, only use ours, when the oven is packed.

Srsly? I've heard so many good things about how they crisp things up without drying them out. I definitely don't NEED one, but they seem kinda cool.

Might be cuz it's buried in the pantry, that we don't use it much. They take up a bit of space.

I dunno...I didn't see anything super special about it?? It's ostensibly a small convection oven, so it does circulate the heat, but you'd be hard-pressed to pick it in a blind test, between that and a regular oven, IMO.
 
I think this is the one we have. Maybe it's just a POS??
