Stop it, you're hurting my feelings.

Well lettuce see, we got:

Iowa
Wisconsin
Minnesota
Purdue
Illinois
Nebraska
Northwestern

I mean, Iowa won it with 7 wins so... :noidea: Sure why not? How hard could it be?
Not only that, he has Nebraska winning the conference. Nope, not happening. No west division team has won the conference championship game since going east and west.

No Ohio St is champ and in CFP...

IF that doesnt force expansion id be done. Having 2 SEC teams meet for it all twice now has moved me from against expansion to for expansion. (really they should have made their rematches the first round of CFP instead of final both times imho)

It wasn't a rematch the first go around, but I get the point. I don't really mind because my team was the beneficiary, but can see why it would turn away outsiders.
I haven't minded the "rematches" between Bama and Georgia in the CFP as much as I did the 2011 BCS Bama/LSU game. What makes the last two much more palatable to me is the CFP requires both teams to beat an opponent outside their own conference in order to earn their way to the final instead of earning it via a vote. Winning via a vote is for politics not sports.

2011 was bullshit. Screw job for LSU who had a better record than Bama, a better resume than Bama, player one more game than Bama and beat Bama in Tuscaloosa, but Bama is the champs because they got an undeserved shot.

But this is the last time I’m saying it. The 2017 Bama-UGA NCG was NOT a rematch

What in the jinxy fuck is this horse shit?

2011 wasn't bullshit. Bama was just better. Deal with it.

The conference?!?
No, that’s gonna be Ohio State but the WEST division…. Meh, it’s doable IMO.

I missed Ohio State in the playoffs. My bad

It is fascinating how it's panned out this way. Wisconsin won at least a share of the title from 2010-2012, and 2012 was the last time any current B10 west team won it. Meanwhile, 4 different East teams have won it in the decade since.

No they didn't. Iowa has gone twice and both times they had 10+ wins.

And another dig at the division even though it was already shown that the B1G west is basically the 3rd or fourth best division in CFB. :rolleyes2: Basically saying the entire PAC and ACC are beneath them, and you could make the case that the SEC east was worse too, they are just hanging their hat on UGA at the moment.

Miss me with this boring, played out nonsense.

I agree if that happened, we would get expansion. But, serious question regarding rematches ... it happens all the time in the NFL ... Buffalo and KC just played one of the best games in the history of the NFL, and it was a rematch. Tampa and LA was a rematch. SF v. LA will be the third time they have played this year.

The NFL is the no. 1 league in all sports ... how come rematches are ok there, but some people are dead set against them in CFB even if it results in the best on best?

They’re really not against rematches, just SEC rematches

Meh. I think a lot of people would be against rematches, regardless of conference. Comparing it to the NFL is not an apples to apples comparison and is pretty disingenuous.

I saw someone on YT make their super early division winners predictions and they picked Nebraska to go 10-2 and win the West.

Now this... ya'll are jinxing us as bad as @huskers1217 does and at this point.... it really hurts.

As for the three SEC teams, I was thinking through this the other day and I couldn't come up with a 4th. UGA, Bama, and tOSU make sense. But you could see OU and Clemson taking steps back. Don't see anyone in the PAC ... it will take USC a few years, and Oregon has a new coach, is losing a lot and has UGA basically at home.

That said, I am not sold on TAMU. They lost 4 games last year, and lose some decent talent to the NFL - about 6 players, probably 2 first rounders on the LOS. They have a lot of new QBs, but any good ones? And this new recruiting class likely won't help ... true freshman rarely start. But, if not them, who.

Here's Vegas, or at least some betting line:

1. Alabama+200
2. Georgia+250
3. Ohio State+600
4. Clemson+1200
5. USC+3000
6. Michigan+3500
6. Oklahoma+3500
6. Texas A&M+3500
9. Florida+5000
9. Oregon+5000

the NFL you gotta go through more teams to win it all, that makes a rematch not as big a deal in my view (which is all i care about with regard to it being entertaining or not) Id rather have seen the SEC go against SEC in round 1 of the CFP rather than final. I would have watched that game and the final then, but as it was....fat ass nope. Again this is my opinion and what i find entertaining.

Also i dont pay a ton of attention to the NFL early season. Until playoffs are on the line i dont really care and even then to say i care is an overstatement, NFL is usually background noise on a sunday in the regular season for me where the playoffs i sit down and actually watch.

CFB (most years, this past year i was busy september through mid november with moving into a new house and all that went into it) I watch just about every single game that could be worth while because any given saturday en sech (ill even watch good G5 matchups and maction on week days)

when 1/3 of all games in the playoffs are same conference rematches and its the final with only having to go through 2 teams its just not entertaining. Put it in the first round and id find it more entertaining, add more teams and games to have to go through and should they meet in the final then so be it even that would be more entertaining should they find a way to go through it all. I dont care what conference it is (yea the SEC has some SEC fatigue but that isnt a hate on the SEC just a fact of being boring)
