It's Friday, you ain't got no job, and you ain't got shit to do...

At least at our house, we also almost always cook at home. Maybe 1-2 meals out a week. Often none. Anything cooked at home is likely to have way less butter/fat than something cooked in a restaurant.
We do as well. We have a rule in our house where we take turns picking what we eat on Friday nights. That will often mean a restaurant (although not always). We might eat out for lunch on a weekend depending on where we are or what we are doing. We’re in the middle of gymnastics season, so it isn’t always practical to eat at home if there’s a competition going. Other than that, we eat most meals at home.

Milk isn’t my friend, so I don’t do ice cream much. I don’t really do dessert at all other than occasionally on the weekends. I really try to stay “on plan” during the week and I’m a little more relaxed about it on the weekends. I still try to be reasonably good even on the weekends, but I’m much less strict about it.

I definitely went through an eat big stage for several years. Had a fast metabolism and lifted heavy so I could do it.

My goals in life are much different now, but my passion to workout is the same. So I just lift differently now. Way less powerlifting and way more body building. My focus is on my waistline now not my deadlift PB. Changing my lifting habits has auto changed my eating habits. 3 meals a day and typically 2 protein shakes. Lot of water.

Morning. I could have slept another hour, but oh well. Dog walk soon. It's beautiful out right now.

You move out West?

Can you get some sort of veggie delivery service? I use one and love it. Uses up veggies that otherwise can't be sold in a grocery store and opens up my mind to veggies I might not otherwise utilize. Like tonight I'm making Salisbury steaks but am using a celery root mash instead of mashed potatoes. I've really enjoyed getting these other veggies I've never used before.

Tried one a couple years ago. Not at all happy with the freshness. Of course, I get spoiled by having my garden producing different veggies ove a 3 month period.

Got my bonus report out this morning

An extra $15k in my pocket before taxes...fuck you taxes.

That’s where Hello Fresh has been great. We got it just for fun - something for the wife and I to try - and like it so much we stick with it. Never have to worry about planning dinners.

I’m 51 years old, so i definitely don’t want to powerlift. My goals are to be healthy and retain muscle tone. I do some sort of workout every day (usually cardio) and lift three days a week, dumbbells only. I’ll do a protein shake in the morning with breakfast and I eat a fair amount of fruit.

They are fun to do from time to time for me. I like to switch it up and add a little variety.

Is there another way? I am going to salt them tonight, and leave open to dsry a little in the fridge for 24 hours. Leave them out to get to room temp for a an hour or 2, then grill to perfection on a hot ass grill, with fresh ground pepper, and butter the tops every time I flip the,, which is twice per side, for grill marks, bud.

Sounds like me, though I am older.

At least Monday through Friday, like when I worked for a living. Weekends get sloppy, especially after a couple of bourbons.

Mr. Kobe should get his bonus in a few weeks. Plan is to pay off his student loans with that and our savings. Our financial planner told us to clear out our savings to pay off the student loans since we have a HELOC we can access in case of emergency. Paying off before the interest starts again will save us a shit ton of money.

I love meal planning. I get up early on Saturday mornings and make a weekly plan and a grocery list. It's my happy place.

Interest on student loans is such BS
