Totally agree. Today, right now. Get the unpleasant things done first and then enjoy the rest of the day.In my career, I've had to make so many uncomfortable calls/meetings, I don't even like thinking about it.
I give you this advice: do it. Don't wait. 99% of the time, the anticipation of the exchange is far worse than the actual exchange.
The only way out is through.
For lack of a better term?Damnit!

The fact that each team doesn't always get a possession in OT is exceptionally fucking stupid. The Indianapolis Colts have submitted a proposal to guarantee each team an overtime possession, according to NFL Network's Judy Battista. If approved, the rule change would apply both to the regular and postseason. Rich McKay, chair of the NFL's competition committee, said that possible changes to overtime will undoubtedly be brought up when the committee meets this week, according to Battista. Teams may propose overtime changes for solely the postseason or for both the regular season as well as the postseason. It is unclear whether there is enough of a league-wide consensus to alter the league's current overtime format.
I guess that means they also think everyone should get a trophy as well

Frankly, I think they should just keep adding quarters, or 1/8's and play normal rules until a team wins, particularly in the playoffs.
yesYou can't stop a team going 80+ yards do you deserve to get a shot to tie game again?
Treat it like the end of a quarter instead of the end of a half. No kickoff. The ball remains where it was and play continues. First team to score wins. The fact that each team doesn't always get a possession in OT is exceptionally fucking stupid.

Absolutely. You can't stop a team going 80+ yards do you deserve to get a shot to tie game again?
Absolutely.
Each team should have equal chances.
What if both teams suck on defense?

I've never bitched about the length of games, so take that shit elsewhere.People bitch about the length of games yet want longer games... You can't have it both ways...
They had possessions during the entire game. Just extended the game, not start a new one. Both teams should have a possession.

Not knowing your relationship with you current employer or boss, these things happen all time so its not like you are doing something out of this world.Well shit. I ended up letting the other company that I was interviewing with that I would accept their job offer last night. I went to give my boss my two week notice this morning, and instead he immediately matched the offer. Actually slightly more.
So now I feel like a jackass to have to call this other guy back and tell him I'm backing out unless they offer more.
