I guess we can add lawn mower repair, since everyone can either do it themselves or just throws it way and gets a new one. same thing with TV or appliance repair.

Yep.

Like I said I ended my subscription in the 90's sometime. I got it mainly to do the Crossword and Jumble puzzles.

True story.... One morning I went out to the end of the driveway to grab the paper, brought it in the house and slid the paper out of the plastic sleeve. A weed pipe was in it.
I think the carrier guy in his car had it hidden in a paper, accidentally grabbed the wrong one, and tossed it out the window.

I just laughed and tossed the pipe in the trash. He/She were probably freaking out for a couple days thinking they'd get reported.

I don't know who the carrier was because they didn't collect door to door like we had to back in the day. The monthly bill was paid through the mail. There was a place on it for a tip, but I never tipped.
I'm not tipping someone where I have to go to the end of my driveway to get my newspaper. How hard is it to drive by and toss it out your car window?
