Who remembers...............

if you want a circle jerk.. find a gif of the scrambled spice channel.

"I think that was a boob!!"

Man I remember those days. Between fiddling with the adjuster on the cable box because I thought i could unscramble the spice channel to waiting 5 minutes for a jpg file to load and hope it wasn't a joke picture...man kids have it easy these days.

I remember that! What were those fuckers called?

MUSCLES

Every year I put together advent calendars for my boys...This year is actually going to be those. Micro Machines...Mini pokemon toys...Legos...were years' past. Candy is for noobs.

I've still got an entire coffee can full of MUSCLES. I've got a container of Micro Machines jets.

The only other things I've kept from my childhood besides those two things are are my original Star Wars action figures (& what's left of the Hoth & Ewok Village playsets) and sports trading cards (a bunch of binders & shoeboxes).

Do you remember the paperclip trick to unlock everything on the old cable boxes(the ones with a dial for channels)? That's how I saw my first boob on television. Thank you Benny Hill!!!!!

My 88-year-old grandfather still uses AOL and his primary email address is still an AOL account. Yesterday afternoon I spent 75 minutes on the phone with him trying to walk him through how to email a document to me so I could print it off for him.

(Usually when he has computer problems, I just stop over at his house and help him, but he's in COVID quarantine.)

This would happen then you would hear someone scream "Get off the computer, I need the phone!"
Or just picking up the phone and hearing a neighbor talking on it.

I got a very brief taste of party lines thankfully.
