They had to have at least made the Majors to qualify, so that Appel dude doesn’t count. I’m doing zero research and going from memory, so I’ll probably forgot someone obvious

C- JP Arencibia
1B- James Loney
2B- Gordon Beckham
3B- Brett Lawrie
SS- Addison Russell
OF- Dom Brown
OF- Jordan Schaffer
OF- Hector Olivera

SP- Joba Chamberlain
SP- Archie Bradley
SP- Dylan Bundy
SP- Jo-Jo Reyes
SP- Chris Volstad

CL- Ken Giles

Schaffer was busted for PEDs before he made it to the major leagues

what a bum

Dylan Bundy is starting his 2022 campaign out of Baltimore pretty nicely. I don't think you can call him a bust yet.

Yep. Was the number one prospect in baseball, popped for PEDs, hit a homer in his first ever MLB AB and then was never productive again

Nearly 30, only season with an ERA under 4 was 2020, former top prospect. Might be a late bloomer, but I’m comfortable calling him a bust until he puts together a full season

Ken Giles has a career ERA of 2.74 across 351 innings and was never in the top 100 of any prospect ranking service that I know of. We define "bust" differently I believe :noidea:

Maybe. I just remember the Astros giving up a lot for him and then he sucked donkey balls for them, and then got shipped to Toronto where he sucked for them too

Have not heard Addison Russell name in a couple of years.....
Started out with a bang winning a spot in an allstar game where all 4 infield possition made up of Cub players....
He was actually a damn good ss until he got hurt and then the dreadful 40 game suspension for domestic abuse.....
Not sure if hes playing anymore or not.....

You guys know that they play baseball outside of Atlanta, right? Schafer was certainly a hot prospect with a lot of buzz and he "belongs" on this type of list but he was never that.

Going purely by memory here, bud. Sorry, guess he was top prospect in the system and got it mixed up.

People who don't like you might give you shit for making a list/post like this just "from memory" but I like anything that promotes discussion, you could put Mike Trout on this list and I still wouldn't be too much of an asshole about it :thumb:

@OregonDucks might put him on his list

I guess Jurickson Profar is still playing so he can't be a bust, but considering how highly he was touted and how untouchable Jon Daniels made him...I think he is a giant bust.

Braves chose to keep Jo-Jo Reyes over Matt Harrison in the Mark Teixeira trade, which was one of the worst trades in Braves history, but had we sent Reyes and kept Harrison, those 2011 and 2012 seasons might have ended a little differently

Had you just not made the Tex trade 2011 and 2012 seasons would have been a LOT different for y'all. For Texas as well in 2010 and 2011

He should definitely make the list. Slipped my mind. I remember he was supposed to be the next big thing and now he’s a role player on the Padres. Major bust
