Washington looks better than their record. Rogers has been quite efficient and Coleman's given them an explosive running game. They're averaging 7.2 yards per play on the season, though the scoring has been underwhelming. They've only turned it over 2 times this year, they've just shot themselves in the foot a lot with penalties, not great kicking (3 missed FG against Rutgers), and poor performance on 3rd downs. Rutgers were outgained by over 200 yards and had a 3.3% win expectancy, but pulled off the win. Washington's defense has quietly been good, opposing offenses be damned (3 opponents held to under 10 points, 4.1 yards per play on the season). This was a nice win for Rutgers. Defense looks good again, though they've struggled against the run (5.2 YPC) and while their secondary is good (giving up under 6 Y/A and opponents are completing under 58% of their passes), their DL has struggled to register sacks. I like their running game and they've finally got a passing game that can occasionally threaten.
The schedule still looks favorable, the only games I'd expect them to lose are @Nebraska and @USC. I think 9 wins is very obtainable.
