I see that on most American made vehicles today as well. The tolerances allowed by the BIG 3 auto manufacturers is abysmal. Not only are the gaps usually to big....but the consistency of the gap sizes vary from part to part.

If you look at a German manufactured vehicle you can apply a gauge to each body seam and gap and they are all uniform. Japanese made vehicles are also very good at this also.

Chevy is horrible at it....Dodge is too. Ford is just as bad.
