I’m looking forward to the hype of the upcoming games in November from some of the same pundits who forever claimed that a playoff/expanded playoff would ruin the regular season because those games would no longer matter.

Granted we will likely see the same ol brands holding up the trophy when it’s all said n done but there is definitely gonna be some high drama games coming up this month after these rankings come out that ordinarily wouldn’t matter.

That could definitely be the case. But this way they'll win it even more on an extended playoff field than just a couple of games and/or voted in.

And what the old poker adage "You've got a chance as long as you've got a chip and a chair."

I hate to say it but it could also come down to the teams that avoid playoff injuries the longest.
