I think this is the first year where (at the time of the Oscars) I haven't seen any of the Best Picture nominees.

I really want to see The Father though, heard really good things about that.

Not only have I not seen any of them, I have never heard of any of them either.

Of all of the 56 films and shorts nominated I've seen 55 of them (never found a source to stream the animated short Opera, which has been raved about and annoys me). That said, it is a pretty easy year to watch them if you want to, most can be seen on Netflix, Hulu, Prime, HBO Max On Demand, or Disney+ (that's all the movies overall).

Judas and the Black Messiah was available on HBO Max for a time when it first came out as they're doing this year.
Minari (On Demand)
The Father (On Demand)
Mank (Netflix)
Nomadland (Hulu)
Promising Young Woman (I feel like this might have been somewhere, but it's definitely On Demand)
Sound of Metal (Amazon Prime, side note, having watched A Quiet Place in Theaters, i think this would have been even better in that setting)
The Trial of the Chicago 7 (netflix)

Not only have I not seen any of them, I have never heard of any of them either.
Pretty much everyone is in the same boat. Lots of people haven't seen nor heard of most of these. They never would have done it, but they should have skipped the show since so many movies got delayed due to covid.

Nomadland won not just Best Picture, but also Best Director (Chloe Zhao) and Best Actress (Frances McDormand).

Anthony Hopkins won Best Actor, Daniel Kaluuya won Best Supporting Actor, and Youn Yuh-jung won Best Supporting Actress.
