Funny thing is that this guy is counting BYU, UC, UCF and UH draft picks with the Big12 conference, despite those players never playing in this conference. UT and ou accounted for 10 of those picks

So by that standard, it should be SEC 72.

FWIW, this is as close as the B1G has come to the SEC in a long time.

I sincerely hope someone spirals a football right into his baby-maker.

Cuz I honestly hate that shit. Lying ass mofos.

Yep. 10 of those shouldn't count since those four schools didn't play in the Big 12. (BYU 3, Cincy 3, Houston 4, UCF -0-) That should drop them below the ACC at 30.

Subtract TCU (8), Texas (5) and OU (5) and that is only 12 for the other 7 teams. K-State (4), Iowa State (3), Oklahoma State (2), Texas Tech (1), Baylor (1), West Virginia (1) and Kansas' goose egg.

Looks like K-State did the best considering the talent they had.

ACC with 14 teams having that few selected is pathetic

FBS teams w/ zero 2023 NFL draft picks. I dunno if I missed any or not.

I'm honestly surprised the Big Ten was as close to the SEC as they were

they have good players too.. they aren't as deep at the skill positions but they still have a lot of good players everywhere else

can't wait to do this next year with @WhosYourDawggy @Wild Turkey

Agreed, but probably an outlier. Maryland, Purdue, NW and Illinois combined for 18 draft picks. Last year, combined only had 8. Also, all that talent picked and the conference wasn't all that good last year. Definitely underachieved relative to how many guys were drafted.

Washington didn't have any drafted players this year. Of course they only had 3 enter and all were UDFA'd, but every single Jr eligible to enter the draft chose to return for their Sr season so that had something to do with it.

Still the first time since like '09 UW didn't have anyone drafted. That last time was after an 0-12 season, this time it is after an 11-2 run. I believe they are projecting 12-13 will enter the draft next year.

If all of the PAC QB's stay healthy, it's going to be an interesting race to see which of them goes first.

lmao no it won't be. Caleb Williams is definitely going 1st unless he gets hurt

You don't think if Bo takes the ducks to the CF championship game he'd have a shot? Sure, Caleb is the easy favorite right now. Weird things happen in college football.

Bo Nix won't get picked before Caleb Williams. I figured OD might suggest that but not anyone serious

I mean I know it won't be Penix. Even if he did take UW to the finals his prior years of health issues and his overall size are problems. Either way, there will be several PAC QB's picked up and a couple probably top 10 ish. Ducks also had quite a few draft eligible kids stay back for Sr year. Both schools will be sending some talent up to the league in the '24 draft.

I agree that UW and UO will both be sending a decent amount of guys to the draft next year. The top of the PAC should be pretty strong next year. Lots of good QB and overall talent level/coaching is better than it's been. Penix and Nix could both potentially play themselves into the first round if they stay healthy and play well. I just don't see how they could possibly play themselves over Caleb Williams.
