Being Honest I like them and Hope they stay. 2 nice quick games.

Part of it doesn’t sit well, but I don’t have a major issue. I don’t like the runner on second to start the inning in extras though

Feels like high school. Asterisk next to complete game stat? Adjust # of at bats to qualify for batting or ERA title?

i don't like it because of the runner on 2nd horseshit. that shit is amateur hour.

wait, that's for extra innings, lol.

eh, i guess it's not the end of the world, but i'm not clamoring for it; would prefer 9 innings.

This is my sentiments. I can live with 7 inning double headers, but I'm not ecstatic about them, but the runner on second in extra innings is the dumbest shit I've ever heard of in baseball.

When they first started doing it in the minor leagues a few years ago, a low level Braves affiliate had a two pitch inning. Lineout double play, followed by another lineout.

Not dumber than giving the NL the DH for the 2020 season, then taking it away for the 2021 season.

And the kicker is more than likely, it'll be back next season with the new CBA. Assuming there is a season next year, already hearing rumblings of a strike.

Can't happen. Would be the death nail of baseball.

I am just indifferent to the 7 inning double headers. I do believe it’s better for the players so I can roll with it.

And I’ve really come around on the extra innings change. I’m very much a traditionalist with most of the game, but I’ve evolved on this. Bottom line is that I’ve never been super crazy about extra innings as they were. Sure, most games finish in the 10th or the 11th inning. And that’s all fine.

But, while they don’t happen terribly often, those games that go past 14 innings are just ridiculous. Teams are often playing night games followed by a day game the next day. The turnaround is rough on a 9 inning game. When it goes 15+ innings you can run into issues that will absolutely impact the next day....but, those impacts to
players, bench’s and bullpens can even take up to a week to fully recover from.

All that because “that’s how we’ve always done it”? No thanks. I’ll take the runner on second over that.

I just don't like it. If it goes beyond 11, maybe start doing it in the 12th, but I can't get behind it. If it's a strain on the bullpen, maybe don't pull your starter after 5 innings.

I could get behind it putting the runners on in the 11th-12th. That would make sense.

7 innings ≠ 9 innings. But a win is a win, once it's in the books?

Last year's pissing match between the owners and players about did it in, and both sides came off looking completely out of touch and tone deaf. Baseball's player's union is too strong for its own good. They'll dig in, they'll probably eventually get close to what they want, but there won't be steroid fueled freaks hitting 70 bombs to get the fans back after the strike is over this time.

I don't care because baseball already died about 5 years ago

Don't like the 7 inning thing, but can tolerate it.

The runner on 2nd rules is astoundingly bad and truthfully grounds for execution for anyone involved in that decision.

7 innings is for kids and fields without lights.
