How about getting rid of the DH and just batting the eight positions players?
 
Nah. Lineup needs 9 batters. Either with the DH or with the pitcher batting, but with the way it is now with the DH being there in college and in the minors for the last several years, I'm fine with the DH in both leagues now.

Needs to be a factor of 3. 9 innings, 9 players on the field, 27 outs in a game. An 8 man lineup boogers everything up and the union would never go for it anyways.
