Had a faulty brake pad slip it's heat shield and tear up a rotor that I replaces a year and half ago.

Went to parts store, all my stuff was warranteed, and I always buy the top dollar brake components, which doesn't seem to matter, but I digress....

The guy tells me just buy the pads, bring thw others back, and we will refund on the warranty. Give me the wrong pads. I take the damaged rotor back, get the right pads in exchange for the ones I took off that clearly had a defective part, and they gave me thebwrong rotor.....

Go back, the rotor is in the right box, but was packaged wrong. All the ones they had were packaged wrong, so they had to have one brought over which was an hour wait.

So a job that usually takes me about 45 mins, was about 4.5 hours. Fuck you @outofyourmind for getting as much pleasure out of my pain as I know you always do.

Merry Christmas you bunch of cunts!!!

Likely damn story. Just pay the ticket for running the stop sign.

I thought this thread was about my daughter’s driving.

Curious what the parts store was that you were going to? Last spring I replaced a purge valve on my daughters car. You would think with everything on their computer they could get it right. Took me 4 different stores

Computers have helped the world, computers have fucked up the world.

O'Reilly

We only have a couple of those here, a d while that's where I should be getting everything, it's just kind of a pain in the ass.

O'Reillys has been decent for me in the past, but this was a really aggravating experience

Autozone is the dollar store version of a parts store
Be that as it may, that was where my experience was. Not a lot of O'Reiley's around here. Mainly Autozone, Advanced Auto Parts or NAPA

Not trying to change the topic here, but I love my local NAPA.

The one I frequent has a hot parts chick.

I changed my own oil. I love that Napa gold oil filter.

I do my own brake jobs as well and they sell a coated set of NAPA front rotors. They’re the best damn rotors I’ve ever put on a truck. They’ve got multiple lines of brake pads just depending on how much money you to spend.

And if they don’t have it at my local store, it’s usually there the very next day from a rather large warehouse in town. If I really gotta have it, I’ll just drive down there and get it.
