Looks like they were trying to set up a farce ala Strangelove, but it never lands. And then there’s the way the director doesn’t trust his audience, and wants to explicitly explain everything at the end. That’s par for the course these days. Still very well directed. Great tone. And an excellent vehicle for these fine actors.
