Just got done watching it on Netflix. A lot of footage I had never seen before. Didn't see the HBO Max one, but its said this one is better.

Well shit. The HBO one was super good. My first thought was “what else is there to tell”…..but now I need to check it out.

What a fucking mess. 30 years later and it couldn’t have been more counter to the 69 festival in every way, shape and form.

My Uncle Frank attended the 69 Woodstock Festival.

I wondered how much there was to tell or show. The HBO one had tons of not seen before footage too.

There can be only one.

Yeah. I grew up less than 10 miles from there but was already living in Fla by that time. One of my closest friend’s dad was a Rome police officer. They all were called there along with the state police to deal with the chaos on the third day.

Yeah, stage a multi day event on a drab, industrial former military airfield. Including a massive concrete bake pan in the heat for everyone to be on. Cheap out on facilities and charge excessively for water.

What could go wrong?

Don’t get me wrong…I’m not condoning the events of that third day. That was actually a better example of the angst of that generation. But the organizers laid out plenty of powder for that explosion.

Does the HBO one also blame white men and Korn for getting the crowd ramped up and putting Busch in a hard spot to follow up?

I was told the HBO one was all about privileged toxic white males ruined Woodstock. There was a bit of that here but not as much.
