I had no idea this thing was dropping until yesterday or whenever it was when it was released. It looks super cool and could give watching sports an awesome feel. But they are promoting this thing like your average customer can buy it. It's a ridiculous $3,500. Sorry, but there is no way I am paying that kind of money for goggles that let me watch TV.

Again, really cool gadget, but I'll wait 5 years before it maybe becomes affordable.

Not for me. I can find my entertainment elsewhere. Racing, snowmobiling, RZR riding, and on and on

“RZR riding”? You tear that scooter up big boy but just make sure you’re home before sun down.

Thing is way too expensive but people will buy it because it's Apple

With Apple, that will never happen. In 5 years they'll release the Apple Vision Pro 28 and release 1 will be obsolete. Release 28 will be 50K and all the Apple Heads will be taking out mortgages to buy it.

No thanks. However, I will consider mugging someone for theirs, if the conditions are right.

And it will only work with the new apple prosthetic eyes they've invented

I'm a gadget guy, but that's too rich for my blood. I have a Quest 2 that's neat to play with every once in a while but that was 1/10th the cost of this one. Gonna need to see some practical uses before I drop that kind of money on a toy.

VR p*rn is not available on it. What's the utility?
It's an apple product so going to need someone to hack it to get any good apps like porn or anything like that.

Having your phone apps in a 360 degree virtual monitor that you interact with via gestures, is the best way I can describe some of the views I've seen. Seems kind neat, but I think it's more proof of concept. If they can make it eventually work in normal looking glasses -- THEN they've got something on their hands that people will universally want.

I agree. Tony stark type stuff.

At that price it will only be for the upper echelon. Or maybe buisness applications. Average Joe will only be able to afford the demonstration.

It really isn't TOO much more than they're charging for cell phones and computers. But beyond some tech junkies making youtube videos to get reactions from people, I doubt many people are confident enough to walk around with that shit on their head and the wire to the brick in their pocket. Get it on some sunglasses and I think a lot more people would pay the price.

Well a phone is 1200 to 1500ish and you make installments and you get free or 800 off for promotion so it is a bigger difference than you think.

If this becomes viable, I can see them bundling phones together with these. Once you make the first purchase, then they hook you in with trade-in values forever.
