every single game they have issues.

Nebraska - lost a touchdown and lost by 3. They also had one of the their best defensive players flagged for targeting.

both went to replay and both should have been overturned and they were not.

Nebraska now has lost that best defensive player for the first half of the Colorado game.

I get as angry with refs as anyone, but I think the quality of officiating has been as good as it has ever been. I think the replay reviews have become overdone. But the point is, we have so many angles to review a single play from the comfort of our homes along with slowmo and we sometimes forget officials have to make those decisions in real time.

they should poach the Big12 refs

The early false start that wasn’t called on the Minny TD play sucked, but Ty should have not lowered his helmet and to be fair it seems QB protection is a priority this season as in all the games I watched last weekend had calls for late hits, targeting, and head blows on the QBs.

One more thing if it is a point of emphasis to protect the NCAA QBs even more this year then all the schools were told and it should have been a point of emphasis in practice. If it was, then it’s just the players fault for not pulling up.

Yeah I'm biased, but I thought that was pretty clearly a TD. I also dont believe in targeting in general.

If you want to stop helmet to helmet contact, have the players practice without helmets.

If I remember that play right, there was no flag or mention of a late hit. Strictly a helmet to helmet issue. Like in self defense, aim for center mass.

I can understand getting stuff wrong in the live game, there's no way around that. But they have added this element of video review that seems to be just a thing that gets calls wrong on the regular. If they actually followed the meaning of "clear and indisputable video evidence" I think more people would be OK with it. At this point I'd be fine with just doing away with video review because it seems like it mostly gets things wrong and just gives TV another chance to throw in a commercial.

I'm all for reviewing questionable calls and that it must be indisputable to overturn a call on the field.

BTW. The guys in the review booth get more angles than the TV announcers do.

I think the problem is that "indisputable" often isn't, in fact, indisputable.

PAC officials have set the bar pretty high… or should I say, low.
IMHO BIG refs ain’t caught em yet.
