I'm back. Played internet service swap and swap back again. Had Cox cable but decided to try AT&T TV and fiber internet. It sucked...I complained after the service went out twice in the first week. Third time is the charm though and with that...I canceled and returned back to cable.

Any messages for me while I was away?

I have Uverse and it's great.
Until there's a power surge. It doesn't tolerate those very well, but at least in about 15 minutes it's rebooted and going again.
My wife likes their music channels.

I think I liked Cox Cable better, but not worth the monthly 'car payment' I had with them.

LOLZ@ people with cable

AT&T / Direct TV was fine in California since it doesn’t actually rain there. In Texas, the reception goes out whenever it rains. No bueno. I think my contract is up now. May look into switching.

If you bundle them and tell your sales person to match the other guys bundle price they can usually work something out....add a sports package or a movie channel or something.

The problem was the service quality. It doesn't matter much what you were supposed to get, if you ain't getting it! Kno wut I meanz? ATT TV is Direct Tv....they bought them out or something. It would just go to a blue screen sometimes because I guess no one bought commercials in that time slot.....so all of the sudden the TV would just go silent....and you'd get a blue screen with a message saying your programming will return in just a moment. It was very unnerving.

Y'all local commercial time slots are all filled. The service is new in this area so they may have not filled all the local slots here. So in those instances...we get a blue screen.

edit: but the blue screen is not the reason I canceled it. The "tower" went out twice and the "box" went out the third time and that was it...

They over-nighted the box but you still have to wait another day for the tech to come by...it was a f'ing mess Yo! I was about to shoot someone...anyone....just to feel like something was getting done.

Background: Just moved into a new development that ATT&T did the infrastructure for so they are basically the only provider I can get. What I learned is that it’s ok not great but everything we are using is brand new and designed specifically for this neighborhood. To get them to get it all installed was a major pain.

The company I hired to do sound and mount TV’s had guys that all worked for Direct TV at one point they all left when ATT&T bought it. They said ATT&T was terrible to work for and that they ruined Direct TV.

Basically most cable companies are going to be internet providers in the future as more people are going to cut the cord. I haven’t had true cable in 4 years and have been 100% streaming (HULU Live).

I like it because you don’t need a box and any device becomes a TV for the most part.

Can you get NFL ticket without the dish?
