I think Jimbo is falling victim to the same thing that got Malzahn and that is arrogance that his system works and he is very resistant to change. This has been one of Saban's greatest strengths that Alabama has evolved and that has kept them competitive but his problem now is the assistants he has as coordinators aren't innovative enough and he is struggling to get kids that are making six figures in NIL money focused on getting better and not thinking their shit doesn't stink.

Word on the street is that is a considerable amount of pressure on Jimbo to bring in an OC but he is pushing back hard on that. I'm going to be interested to see what happens because Malzahn brought in either clones or lackeys and nothing changed.

You're giving Jimbo a lot more character credit than I am. His showed his true "legacy" colors to me by the condition in which he left the FSU program. I know he was pissed he didn't think FSU was committed to the investment needed to be "elite". But his actions reminded me of junior high kids throwing a hissy fit when they don't get their way.

Yes. And I'd do it in this order.
1. Beat the shit out of multiple coworkers.
2. Finish my tps reports.
3. Get another job...maybe. With those coworkers gone I might want to stay. :beer2:

I don’t think Jimbo left FSU in shambles on purpose. He made some poor decisions that did that sure but they weren’t on purpose. His biggest issue at FSU was he couldn’t keep top assistants because SEC programs kept poaching them. Add in the facility and budget constraints and it was a lot.

He stuck with his o-line coach Tricket way too long and that burned him the most.

I think you’re reading a narrative in there that doesn’t exist.

I understand the reaction but find it odd that most people think the problem and its solution does NOT start nor end with dealing with the wife.

It has more to do with logic. FSU was on a 3 year slide and the only things that keep it solvent were Jameis Winston and Dalvin Cook. It’s not like he destroyed FSU out of spite because he knew in the future that aTm was going to bail him out. The dude was treading water in Tallahassee and aTm threw him a lifeline.

It would have been career suicide to destroy FSU on purpose. Logic dictates that wasn’t a purposeful event.
