Multiple pilots reported communication disruptions, with the impact felt across the country, according to the space weather forecasting center. Scientists are now monitoring this sunspot region and analyzing for a possible outburst of plasma from the sun, also known as a coronal mass ejection, that might be directed at Earth. This could result in a geomagnetic storm, Dahl said, which in turn could disrupt high-frequency radio signals at the higher latitudes and trigger northern lights, or auroras, in the coming days.

Northern lights have been camera-visible almost every night here, for the last 6 months prolly. And without having to wait til 3 am en sech

Crazy. I have too much light to the north of me to see them. Seeing them is on the bucket list. I understand if I get up to Montreal, like you, they see them all of the time.

I've only seen em' once with the naked eye. They were just white tho, but moving like crazy. Kinda reminded me of when a pool reflects up on a wall. That was 30 years ago tho.

Today's cameras are so awesome tho, that they'll pick shit the naked eye can't see.

That was a few months ago. Could see the green at the bottom, but not the light pillars

Few weeks ago.^^^

DC apparently had some a week or so ago, but no one was able to see them because of light pollution. Some people in northern Maryland maybe.
